What if he's working for a decent company, and the company had a LC available because one of their employees left? What would they do with the LC other than offer it to another deserving employee? And why shouldn't "sts_seeker" take it if it was offered through perfectly legal channels?
You guys have a problem when DOS/USCIS does something illegal. But you have a problem even when "sts_seeker" and his/her company did something perfectly legal!
Your fellow senior members "nixstor", "tikka", "ramus", etc are working hard to get people to contribute to IV. And here, you are driving new members (and potential contributors) away?

I had filed my I-485 in Jun 2007 my PD is Nov 2005 and was called for an interview at the local USCIS office in Feb 2009. My I-485 was pre-approved, now I am about to apply for AP renewal.
The question I have is which service center do I mail in my AP renewal docs? My original application was filed in Nebraska. So do I file it there or send it to service center in Missouri? Can any one who has similar experience post the answer to this?

I did call them several times in an attempt to talk to different individuals, but all them have said try contacting the area post office. I don't think area post office will be able to give any other information.
Are you considering to re-file the case. Or would u be waiting to get the packet back?

i dont think the question is about earning a paycheck. The question is about being employed or not. Perhaps it could also be termed as "being working" or not.
If the EAD does not come in time. I have a strong feeling that you can take leave without pay or with pay.
Paid leave is a benefit. You earn the leave ( 1.5 day every month you worked legally). The salary you get during paid leave is not the salary of the day you worked. It is a benefit you received when you worked during your legal stay. Hence I do not feel that one have to be leave without pay. For example if you get your tax refund when your EAD is expired. We should reject the refund?

I wonder why do they waste time drafting these non starters. Waste of paper and Printer ink is at the most that these Bills go to .. "SAVE" the trees at least .

I..sort of have turned philosophical abt the whole process. Having said that, I also see bright flashes off and on...(just kiddin'). I talk optimism, walk optimism, eat optimism, sleep optimism :) ..ends here!.
If all that it takes is - a copy of our presentation to be mailed/emailed to this 'super cop' of a minister or his office, I would still do it. That way, I have at least challenged him..

I was surprised to see my AP in hand
It seems it was approved on Oct 9 and my attorney received it on 22 oct
I received it today to be very surprised as the online message still says case received and pending
What surprises me more is that I had called USCIS 2 times between oct 9 and today and they didnot tell me that the case has been approved

I joined dphoto because I wanted to get more use out of my digital camera. I figure that if I can learn to take better pictures, then I will have more fun.

Recently I have got Denial notice from INS on my I-140 application. All the documents are fine. Just They have mentioned as My Education Qualification is not equivalent to US Education. My Education is B.Sc. Physics and MBA.
Is anybody has got same problem, and if yes Please let me know what to do in this situation.
I am thinking of getting good Education Evaluation from Somebody. But I don't know it�s just happened because of Lawyer. Do I need to go to smart , strong Attorney to do this. OR Apply for new labor again and start the process.
Please suggest me on this.

Hi Folks, I have few questions regarding opening NRE account...
1. Seems most of the banks offer NRE account for NRIs. In general, which bank is better for opening such an account?:confused:
2. Do all the banks which offer NRE accounts offer account services irrespective of which branch I open the account at? e.g., if I open an NRE account say in delhi, can I have access to and get service for the account say in bangalore? Or do I have to go to that particular branch where I opened the account? In this regard, which bank is better?
3. Which bank generally gives better exchange rates?

BTW USPS does not forward federal emails (and the ones where return service is requested). It may depend upon you luck if they forward it. However they do hold such mails for pickup (which is what i have done).
